TV celebs Ant and Dec are the new faces of Nintendo’s new Christmas 2009 campaign and have featured in a number of Nintendo Wii adverts over the last few weeks.

Here’s the first advert featuring Ant and Dec with the two telling us why they love the Wii and their Nintendo DS’s so much.

The duo love to be competitive and what better way to try and get one over on each other than the superb Mario Kart game which was just made for Wii.

Personally, I think Ant has the best technique, or is that Dec? I can’t tell the pair apart!

To celebrate the release of the new Super Mario Bros game on the Wii, Nintendo is launching a nationwide competition to find ‘Britain’s Best Nintendo Gamer’.

The lucky winner will not only be crowned champion but will win a trip for five worth £10,000 to Nintendos headquarters in Japan.   As well as that, Nintendo are giving all 16 finalists an exclusive first play of Super Mario Bros Wii and will also receive free copies of all first party titles for one year.

The regional finals will be held on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October. Players will be given the chance to showcase their skills in Wii Sports Resort, Wii Fit, Mario Kart DS and New Super Mario Bros DS. There is no need to register; those who wish to enter simply have turn up at one of the venues listed below.

Presenter, comedian and Absolute Radio DJ, Iain Lee will host the final which will take place at the Odeon in Covent Garden on Friday 30th October. The voice of Super Mario himself Charles Martinez will also be on hand to crown the champion.
